Farmers Markets
By shopping at farmers markets, you not only help local businesses, but you considerably reduce the (energy-expensive!) miles your food travels.
Farmers markets offer fresh, local, seasonal produce such as vegetables, fruit, eggs and honey. Depending on the market and the time of year, you may also be able to buy cheese, meat, locally-made craft items and more. Area markets include those in:
- Princeton. 11am to 4pm, every Thursday in Hinds Plaza from mid June to mid November; monthly in the Princeton Public Library’s Community Room during the winter.
- Lawrenceville. 9am-12:30pm, Saturdays in Spring/Summer/Fall, 16 Gordon Ave.
- Montgomery. 9am-1pm, June to October, Village Shopping Center Rt 206 S, Skillman.
- Trenton. Daily, year-round, 960 Spruce Street, Lawrence Township.
- West Windsor. 9am-1pm, Saturdays May thru fall, southbound Vaughn Drive parking lot of the Princeton Junction train station.
- More local places to buy food are shown on this Google Map.
