How it works

Register to participate in Sustainable Princeton’s Step Up Challenge by filling out this form. You will then receive an email with an invitation to join the Challenge on the Step Up app and full challenge instructions. We’ll send weekly leaderboard updates and tips on Mondays to the email you provide.

You can register at any time throughout the month of August, but the earlier you start participating, the more total steps you will be able to log! Winners will be chosen by cumulative steps taken throughout the month of August (August 1-31).

You do not need a smartwatch or wearable fitness tracker to participate! As long as the app is open on your phone, your phone can count your steps from your pocket, hand, or bag without impacting the phone’s battery.

If you have any questions or need assistance with the StepUp app, check the StepUp FAQs or email info@sustainableprinceton.org

Why the challenge?

Sustainable Princeton encourages our community members to walk to work, the store, meetings, and doctors in town instead of driving.

The benefits of walking are numerous: exercise, fresh air, less traffic, and savings on gasoline. With a walk, you can lower your stress and your carbon footprint.

We hope this challenge will help motivate you to try walking over driving and we can’t wait to see how many steps our community will take this August!

You're invited to our pollinator-inspired high tea fundraiser!

Indulge in delicious food made from locally-sourced ingredients at Tipple & Rose on September 15! Ticket sales support our free public events and programming!
