Sustainable Princeton Announces New Speaker Series, Sustainable Minds

Respected thought and action leaders tackle local climate-change issues

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 3, 2022

[Princeton, NJ]: Sustainable Princeton, in partnership with NRG, has announced the launch of their new, virtual speaker series, Sustainable Minds. Sustainable Minds brings some of the most respected thought and action leaders together in a year-long series of three, two-day events. Each two-day session will begin by exploring a local climate-change issue and then will follow with a session on actions the community can take.

“We’re going to discuss some really critical issues in this series,” says Christine Symington, Executive Director of Sustainable Princeton. “Climate change is here, and the information in these sessions will help empower us all to be part of the solution”.

Topics in this series include:

  • Stormwater management
  • Community Solar
  • Zero-Energy Buildings

The first session begins at 7 pm on March 30 and will feature thought-leader, Jim Purcell (Land Use Engineer, Municipality of Princeton) discussing the critical issue of stormwater in Princeton and will be followed by action-leader Marisa Immordino (Ambassador, Watershed Institute) speaking about mitigation strategies on April 6 at 7 pm.

All events are virtual, free, and open to the public. To register for the sessions, visit bit.ly/SP-Stormwater
